The president represents the Portuguese Dental Association, particularly in sovereign organs. It’s a duty of the President of the PDA represent not only the majority that elects him, but the public interest and all dentists with the awareness of overriding public interest.
Only then, as dentists, we can upholding the values of our profession and go against our great goal: to improve the oral health of Portuguese population.

Graduated in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine of the University of Porto, Portugal, in 1987.
President of the Portuguese Dental Association (Ordem dos Médicos Dentistas), since 2001.
